We took a small boat across the ocean to reach Tuhaha, a traditional village on the island of Saparua in the Moluccas, Indonesia. Once there, we witnessed the Cakalele, an ancient war dance that has been performed for centuries. Raw. Powerful. Unforgettable. After the ceremony we traveled back to Ambon to visit family in Suli, a small beach community where a Dutch couple has built their life by the sea. This is real life in the Moluccas. Not a resort. Not a highlight reel. The real thing. 🔔 Subscribe for more real life in the Moluccas: → Traditional villages and ceremonies → Family life between the Netherlands and Indonesia → Building a new life on a remote island We vertrekken met een kleine boot naar Tuhaha op Saparua. Geen toeristen. Geen wegen. Alleen water, jungle en cultuur. We wonen de Cakalele bij — een eeuwenoude krijgsdans — en reizen daarna naar Suli om familie Haurissa te bezoeken. --- #Cakalele #Maluku #MoluccasIndonesia #TraditionalDance #IslandLife #IndonesiaTravel #HiddenIndonesia #Saparua #Tuhaha #IslandFamilyLife #RealLifeIndonesia #Molukken #FamilyVlog #ExpatsInIndonesia
