Madagascar guitar prodigy | Tantely Rasoloarimanana

Recently in Antananarivo, I had the privilege of spending some time in the studio with Tantely Rasoloarimanana, a young Malagasy guitarist with exceptional technique and musicality. I recorded a few tracks with him—including some DI tracks that I later re-amped using my NAM A2 captures within an Axe-Fx III. Enjoy! The first time I saw Tantely playing was in 2024, here's my video from back then :    • Madagascar rock & metal bands   0:00 Fusion shredding 1:17 Shredding again 2:33 Donna Lee 5:35 Giant steps 9:03 Slow dancing in a burning room 12:23 High gain shredding 12:32 Fusion shredding 14:05 Reminds me of Crossroads 14:31 Jazz-blues 17:13 So what 20:52 INTERVIEW 21:40 Traditional Malagasy music 23:57 Jazz 26:04 Traditional Malagasy music 27:36 Playing with delay 1 29:02 Playing with delay 2 30:02 Playing with delay 3 31:26 Playing with delay 4
