ERRAN - Your Hand

You didn't say a word when I sat beside you, and I didn't need to say one too. Your hand was resting there beside mine, close enough to feel the warmth of you. Maybe the first touch was an accident, when your fingers brushed against my hand. Then it happened softly one more time, and neither one of us moved away. It's strange how something barely noticed can suddenly change the whole room. Your hand is resting gently inside mine, and nothing happened, yet everything changed. Your fingers slowly move between my fingers, and neither one of us pulls away. [Instrumental — baritone guitar & Rhodes] I can feel your thumb move across mine, such a small and ordinary thing. But I'm not listening to what you're saying, I'm only feeling where your hand has been. We don't have to talk about this moment, we don't have to give it any name. Your hand is resting gently inside mine, and nothing happened, yet everything changed. No promises and nothing we must answer, just your fingers holding onto mine. [Instrumental] I don't know which one of us moved first, maybe it was you or maybe me. But your hand is still here inside my hand, and that's exactly where I want it to be. [Long instrumental] Keep your hand right here a little longer, there's nowhere else it needs to be. You don't have to say a single word now. Just leave your hand here next to me.
