Jackie Chan Changed Action Movies Forever

I grew up on Jackie Chan. Rush Hour, Rumble in the Bronx, Shanghai Noon. Those movies are a big reason I fell in love with movies in the first place. So I made this video as a thank you. Most of it is Jackie telling his own story in his own words, from a childhood at opera school, through living in Bruce Lee’s shadow, to doing his own stunts and breaking more bones than almost anyone in movie history. I added the context in between. I also didn’t skip the hard parts. There’s a chapter on the controversies, because loving someone’s work doesn’t mean pretending the rest isn’t there. If Jackie Chan is part of your story too, tell me your favorite movie of his in the comments. I read every one. 0:00 Mr. Jackie Chan 1:37 Early Life 4:27 Bruce Lee's Shadow 5:57 Comedy 7:21 The Action Superhero 9:08 Stunts 10:30 Injuries 13:04 Style 14:13 Hollywood 17:20 Controversies 19:03 Legacy 20:39 Why I Love Jackie If you like movie videos like this, subscribe.
