Sometimes Right Looks Ugly

*Sometimes Right Looks Ugly* is a dark Appalachian Southern rock song about duty, loss, brotherhood, and the hard edge of justice. A deputy doing his job is ambushed and killed. He was the kind of man who helped people without asking who they were, stayed when others walked away, and wore the badge because the work mattered. The man who killed him ran. But the deputy’s brothers knew the ridges, the thickets, the creeks, and the dark. They followed until there was nowhere left to go. This song lives in that uncomfortable place between justice, vengeance, grief, and loyalty. It does not pretend the line is always clean.
