Why did Mohammed Shami announce retirement from Tests? |Sports Today

Why did Mohammed Shami announce retirement from Tests? Indian fast-bowling star Mohammed Shami has announced his retirement from Test cricket, bringing an end to an incredible 13-year journey in the longest format. But what led to this major decision? Shami's retirement comes after a difficult period marked by injuries, fitness concerns and his absence from India's Test plans. His last Test appearance came in the 2023 World Test Championship final against Australia. Despite continuing to play domestic cricket for Bengal and demonstrating his bowling ability, Shami did not return to India's Test setup. The veteran pacer announced his retirement on November 6, exactly 13 years after making his Test debut against the West Indies. #MohammedShami #ShamiRetirement #WhyShamiRetired #TestCricket #IndianCricket #TeamIndia #BCCI #ShamiNews #IndiaCricket #CricketUpdates #CricketBreakingNews #IndianFastBowler #CricketNews #nikhilnaz #sportstoday We talk sport 24x7, 365 days a year.
