Episode 300 is here, and we're finally back home in the Caribbean! After wrapping up our Canadian tour, we're trading the mountains, forests and cooler weather for turquoise water, tropical islands and some familiar Caribbean scenery. Even better, we're kicking off the return with a brand-new aircraft as we take the Dornier Do228 on a beautiful flight to Camagüey, Cuba. This route gives us plenty to see along the way. After departing Florida, we head out over the coast before passing Bimini and Andros Island in the Bahamas and eventually reaching the northern coast of Cuba. After all the flying we've done across Canada, it feels great to be island hopping again. This is also one of my first flights with the new Dornier Do228 payware for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, so throughout the flight I share some of my early impressions of the aircraft, including a few things I really like and an issue I discovered with the cargo capacity. The weather also has a surprise waiting for us in Cuba. The beautiful Caribbean scenery eventually gives way to a foggy approach into Camagüey, making the final portion of the flight a little more interesting before we bring the Do228 safely onto the runway. New aircraft. Back in the Caribbean. A flight across the Bahamas and Cuba. And Episode 300. I couldn't think of a better way to start the next chapter of the channel.
