late train//stars in the concrete

POV: you've just been love bombed and ghosted and now need to figure out what to do with the rest of your weekend. I decided to pull out my multi/poly once again, and there was a synth pad that I was working on from some random sound design session already pulled up, so I used that as the main pad synth and lead synth here. I've been like into the "Gen X soft club" album cover design aesthetic recently, and I became fixated on subways through that. It made me think of a time when I visited a friend in Chicago, and we were coming back from a bar pretty late at night waiting on the train. But it never came (for whatever reason). For the first part, I was letting my imagination feed on emptiness of the subway that night. The second part is like you stare at the concrete waiting on the train, and you notice the sparkling of different minerals in the light. I was also inspired by 90's/00's ambient game tracks.
