Girnar, also known as Girinagar or Revatak Parvata, is a group of mountains in the Junagadh District of Gujarat, India, situated near Junagadh. Girnar is considered older than the Himalayas, and the mountain and its range are considered sacred. I visited Girnar during my Gujarat camper van journey, and the beauty of Girnar was truly amazing. This place has a different charm, and I can definitely suggest anyone planning a Gujarat trip to visit Girnar and experience its spiritual and natural beauty. In ancient times, volcanic activity formed the Girnar mountain range, which has five main peaks named: Ambaji Gorakhnath Dattatreya Oghad Anasuya Kalika Girnar is widely popular all over India as a sacred pilgrimage destination where thousands of Hindu and Jain devotees visit every year. During Mahashivratri, a large number of devotees gather here for the Girnar Fair. During Diwali, people also participate in the famous Girnar Parikrama, which is around 36 km long. Gorakhnath, the highest peak of Girnar Hills, is known for the footprints of Gorakhnath Ji, the renowned saint. Dattatreya Peak has a small temple dedicated to Guru Dattatreya Ji. There are thousands of steps to reach the top of Girnar and the Guru Dattatreya Temple. If you take the Girnar Ropeway to Ambaji Temple, you still have to climb further steps to reach the upper peaks. Girnar Ropeway was developed by Usha Breco Ltd. and started operating in October 2020. The ropeway makes the journey to Ambaji Temple much easier and offers beautiful views of the Girnar Hills. In this video, I am sharing my Girnar experience as part of my Camper Bharthi journey through Gujarat. If you are planning a Gujarat road trip, spiritual journey or camper van trip, Girnar is definitely a place worth exploring. For more information about Girnar, its history, temples, ropeway and my complete journey, watch the full video and let me know in the comment section if you have any questions. Thanks for watching ❤️
