📖 The Sunnah Home Manual is here — forty daily practices of the Beloved (peace be upon him), every hadith verified, every source shown. → GET YOUR COPY: https://sunnahgardens.com Behind every narration we love, there was a woman who prepared the food, set the mat, and taught the children how to eat. The Mothers of the Believers and the women companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, did not simply live beside the Sunnah — they cooked it, served it, and passed it down with their own hands. Most of what they taught has never left the household. It has only been forgotten. In this video, we walk through twelve foods, preparations, and household practices the Sahabiyat lived by — the sweets the wives of the Prophet, peace be upon him, served from their own kitchens, the compounds they prepared, the adab they taught at the mat, and the verse Allah revealed for a woman at the hardest moment of her life. Every one is anchored in a Sahih narration told by these women themselves, or in the Quran's own honouring of them. Stay until the end: the number one is a practice a young mother brought to the Prophet, peace be upon him, with the first child born to the Muhajirin in Madinah — and it is still done in Muslim homes on the day a baby is born. This is not a manual. It is an invitation to remember — every food traced to the woman who narrated it, the household she kept, and the hands that first served it. 🌿 IN THIS VIDEO — 12 THINGS THE SAHABIYAT LIVED BY: 12 — The Sufrah, the communal eating mat of their households 11 — Bismillah at the first bite, taught by Umm Salama 10 — Wudu before food, the household practice 9 — Wars, the Yemeni compound of the Mothers of the Believers 8 — Halwa, the sweet confection Aisha narrated 7 — Khabis, the honey-and-bread sweet of Hafsa's household 6 — Faludhaj, the honey-almond pudding of the Sahaba era 5 — Asma bint Umays's postpartum care 4 — Umm Sulaim's loaf of blessed provision 3 — The cup-receiving adab of Aisha's household 2 — Maryam's provision in labour — the Quranic anchor for Muslim mothers 1 — The practice a young mother brought to the Prophet, peace be upon him, with the first child of Madinah: revealed at the very end 🤲 Sit with us, take your time, and let the hands of the Sahabiyat set your table again. If this reminded you of something your mother or grandmother did in her own kitchen, tell us in the comments — and send it to the women in your family who would love to remember it too, in shaa Allah. 🔔 Subscribe to Sunnah Gardens and turn on notifications — new Sunnah foods, plants, and practices every week. — — —— — —— — —— — — The content of this video is for educational and devotional purposes only.
