The Skiure Mobile Turret

The Skiure is a massive auxiliary weapons platform developed for the express purpose of compensating for the lack of range and firepower of MS during the One Year War. It consists of a large beam cannon mounted on a movable platform. The Skiure was meant to be operated through a Zeon MS standing on the platform. The beam cannon’s power surpassed that of a handheld mobile suit beam weapon. In UC 0096, the unarmed Neo Zeon ship Garencieres used a Skiure as a makeshift gun turret to attack the EFF transport plane Garuda. Later it was used to defend the Nahal Argama from attacking Neo Zeon forces.
