Katyusha

The melody of Katyusha derives from a Soviet-era war song about a woman of the same name saying her goodbyes to her beloved, a soldier headed for war. It was composed by Matvey Blanter with lyrics by Soviet poet Mikhail Isakovsky. This video was recorded with myself on violin accompanied by Will Vannerson on accordion AKA the box, which just adds to the delight of the tune.
