Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon - All Cutscenes (1440p)

Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon turn 30 years old on October 10th, 2023. Yet, despite their popularity and age, there hasn't been a definitive compilation of their cutscenes. They're either missing the tutorial, have palette/stretching issues, or are using outdated rips. So, I went ahead and crafted two new compilations using the highest quality sources possible. Partially for entertainment purposes, partially for preservation, and partially so I have video footage for potential CD-i Zelda analysis videos. Below, you'll find timestamps and a list of what's different. You can view the Link: The Faces of Evil cutscenes here:    • Link: The Faces of Evil - All Cutscenes (1...   Timestamps: 00:00 - Intro 01:07 - Sakado's Merchant Welcomes Zelda 01:16 - Sakado's Merchant Refuses Sale 01:24 - Lika's Request (long) 01:39 - Lika's Request (short) 01:46 - Lubonga And The Shroud (long) 01:58 - Lubonga And The Shroud (short) 02:05 - Makoto Needs Some Food 02:13 - Impa Discusses Link And The King 02:24 - Gibdo Threatens Zelda 02:36 - Gibdo Withers Away 02:45 - Makoto Rewards Zelda 02:53 - Grimbo Assesses Zelda (long) 03:05 - Myra's Request (short) 03:12 - Grimbo Forges A Power Glove 03:22 - Grimbo's Assesses Zelda (short) 03:29 - Sanda Heals Zelda (long) 03:39 - Yokan Escapes The Fish Head 03:46 - Sanda Heals Zelda (short) 03:52 - Yokan's New Job (long) 04:00 - Impa Discusses Tykogi Tower 04:11 - Harbanno Flees Tykogi Tower 04:22 - Iron Knuckle Versus Zelda 04:30 - Iron Knuckle Is Shattered 04:38 - Mayor Cravendish In Chains 04:45 - Mayor Cravendish's Lantern 04:54 - The Witches Freeze The Fairy Pool 05:09 - The Witches Are Blown Away 05:19 - The Fairies Reward Zelda 05:30 - The Fairies Heal Zelda 05:33 - Myra's Request (long) 05:47 - Harbanno Gives Zelda Some Bread 05:56 - Lika Makes The Magic Cloak 06:05 - Yokan Tempers Zelda's Sword 06:14 - Yokan's New Job (short) 06:18 - Impa Discusses Lady Alma 06:30 - Wizzrobe Disintegrates 06:36 - Lady Alma Talks With Zelda 06:48 - Impa Discusses The King's Capture 07:00 - Impa Discusses Hektan 07:11 - Hektan Melts 07:18 - Lord Kiro Warns Of Duke Onkled 07:25 - Duke Onkled Surrenders 07:38 - Impa Discusses Omfak 07:51 - Omfak Explodes 07:57 - Myra's Lantern 08:06 - Impa Discusses Ganon 08:16 - Ganon Attacks Zelda 08:24 - Ganon Is Defeated 08:35 - Ending 09:12 - Tutorial This compilation of Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon's cutscenes features the following upgrades: A higher quality! This compilation features 1440p cutscenes for the first time (chosen as it's divisible by the 240-pixel CD-i vertical resolution) and keeps its aspect ratio at 16:10, allowing it to have highly accurate visuals! I've also given it 60 FPS to stabilize the cutscenes' glorious 10 FPS framerate. Accurate graphics! These cutscenes have been rebuilt in Vegas using brand-new rips of the original games' graphics. Notably, this includes the full 240 vertical pixels - previous rips left the bottom row out - and has several missing frames the old rips didn't catch. It can't get much better than this! Some missing cutscenes! Cutscene compilations always leave out the tutorial and Zelda's animation + lines during it, so I've put the entire thing at the end of the video. In addition, the "short" cutscenes that play after obtaining an item and completing a quest are here, though there's nothing new in them. An accurate order! The cutscenes are now in an order similar to what a player experiences in-game. They may be a bit disjointed compared to what you're used to, but that's exactly how it is. Timestamps and captions! You can now skip to your favorite cutscene with a single click, and be able to tell what your favorite characters are actually saying!
