"Fleur de pêcher" - Gem mining stories in Ilakaka , Madagascar, 2019.

Here is our new video about the field expedition I had in Dec. 2019 to the gem producing area near Ilakaka in Madagascar. During our visit there was a small gem rush near Manombo Be village at a place called "Mandanikapa". It was interesting to witness the mining there that was mainly supported by a Malagasy investor from the nearby village. You will also see some update about what was ongoing in other places such as "Banque Suisse" near Ilakaka town and other places along the Taheza and Benahy rivers.
