Toad & Toadette go against…. themselves?

Toad & Toadette playing a tennis match… against themselves. Are these imposters, or doppelgängers? (Note: Usually I wouldn’t play against Toad & Toadette nor would I make a video of it, but I guess I’ll make an exception if I’m playing as them at the same time.)
