Queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota) I everyone, I hope you are doing well☀️ Today I will be painting and imprinting some queen Anne’s lace flower in watercolor. I have been seeing them everywhere and have picked some, and have pressed and dried them. I find the flowers very beautiful and love their lacy canopy of flowers. Queen Anne’s laces Latin name is Dacucus carota and is also known as wild carrot, because it is the wild ancestor of the modern garden carrot. Even though its root is earthy and tough, the root has quite a high sugar content and has historically been used as a sweetener in food.
