Each free offer is called a lead magnet. Here we have an episode guide, and a download that belongs to episode forty two. [Add your files] Open one, and start with the files. Upload from your media library, or paste a link from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Audio files get a play button automatically. [Add your files] Add up to ten files, like a P D F guide, a transcript, and a bonus audio story. One sign-up gets them all. [Write the form] Then write the form: a headline, a short description, the button text, and the thank-you message. You can ask for a first name too, so your emails can greet people personally. == 02. PUT IT ON YOUR SITE == [Add the block to any page] To place the form, add the Magnet Download block to any page, and choose your lead magnet in the sidebar. Prefer shortcodes? Those work everywhere too. [What visitors see] Here's what visitors see. A clean form that fits your theme, with a consent checkbox, and built-in spam protection that keeps working even on cached pages. [Instant thank-you] They sign up, and the form instantly turns into a thank-you message, with a button to get the download right away. == 03. WHAT LISTENERS GET == [A private download link] At the same moment, they get an email with a private link. Links expire after seventy two hours by default, so they can't be passed around the internet. Expired links offer a fresh one. [Their downloads page] When a download has several files, or any audio, the link opens a personal downloads page. Bonus audio gets a built-in player, so listeners can press play straight away, on a phone or a computer. == 04. SHORT LINKS == [A link you can say on air] Next, short links you can say on air. Give a download a single word, like guide, and listeners just type your website, slash guide. The box shows visits, sign-ups, and your sign-up rate. [A landing page for every link] The short link opens a fast, phone-friendly landing page, with your cover art at the top. And it looks great when the link is shared on social media. == 06. EPISODE DOWNLOAD BOX == [A free download on every episode] For podcasters, this is the big one. Every episode gets its own free download box. Tick it, add the show notes, the transcript, or a bonus clip, and if you like, a short link such as E P forty two. [It appears on the episode] The sign-up form then appears on the episode page automatically. The episode's artwork becomes the cover, and anyone who signs up there is credited to that episode in your reports. == 07. POP-UPS == [Pop-ups and slide-ins] Any download can also appear as a pop-up. Then choose exactly which pages it appears on. == 08. DASHBOARD == [Your dashboard] The dashboard shows how your list is growing. New subscribers, your sign-up rate, downloads, and bonus audio plays, each compared with the previous period. [Your dashboard] The chart shows new subscribers day by day. Hover over any bar for the exact number. [Your dashboard] Below, compare every download side by side. See where new subscribers came from, and which episodes grew your list the most. [A weekly summary by email] Prefer email? Turn on the weekly summary, and every Monday morning the highlights arrive in your inbox. == 09. WELCOME EMAILS == [A ready-written welcome series] New subscribers are most interested in their first couple of weeks. So Magnet Downloads includes a ready-written welcome series, made for podcasts.
