WE GOT INTO A STREETCAR CRASH! 😱 New Orleans Day 3 | Cemeteries, Vampires & Garden District Day 3 of our epic USA road trip — and our New Orleans adventure gets a little crazy! 🇺🇸🎺 We wake up at the Pere Marquette Renaissance Hotel in the heart of New Orleans and set off on foot for another huge day exploring this incredible city. Our first stop is Canal Street, before heading down to the mighty Mississippi River and then onto the famous Café du Monde for a proper New Orleans breakfast of beignets. ☕️🍩 After the rain finally clears, we're back out exploring. 🧛 Vampire Café 🎺 Louis Armstrong Park ⚰️ St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 We take a guided tour of the historic cemetery and eventually see the famous grave that so many visitors come to New Orleans to find. Then things take an unexpected turn… 🚋 OUR STREETCAR CRASHES! 😱 We were heading towards the Garden District when our streetcar was involved in a crash, so we had to jump in an Uber and change our plans! Eventually we make it to the Garden District, including a visit to Yvonne LaFleur's, which was particularly exciting for Jen as she follows her content on TikTok. We then continue exploring towards Magazine Street, where we stop at Joey K's for some incredible New Orleans food. 🍗 The fried chicken was absolutely amazing! And we're not finished yet… 🏚️ We go looking for the famous mansion from American Horror Story before heading back towards the French Quarter for one final wander around New Orleans. By the end of the day, we'd walked an incredible… 🚶‍♂️ 14 KILOMETRES! It was an absolutely packed day — and a brilliant way to experience even more of New Orleans as a family. Beignets → Vampires → Cemetery → Streetcar Crash → Garden District → Magazine Street → Fried Chicken → American Horror Story → 14KM WALK!
