Groups like This Will Destroy You, Explosions in the Sky, and Sigur Rós were particularly influential in my formative years, and I now find a special kind of nostalgic solace in warm, rich, and sparse atmospheres of electric guitars. I wanted to recreate that solace in the medium of a concert piece by exploring the intersection of post-rock and process-driven minimalism.
