SONG LYRICS [Instrumental Introduction] VERSE 1 On November First each year, We celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, We honour the holy ones who lived their faith, And rejoice with them in God's heavenly kingdom. Oh Saints of God, pray for us! [Instrumental Break] From every nation, tribe and people, God called His children to be holy. In Revelation John saw the vision, A great multitude before God's throne. Clothed in white, with palms in their hands, They praised the Lamb who saved them all. They came through trials and tribulation, And now they rejoice in God's glory! CHORUS Oh all you saints of God, pray for us, Oh Holy friends of God, pray for us. Faithful saints of God, pray for us, Guide our steps in holiness. Help us love and serve the Lord, Oh saints of God, pray for us! [Instrumental Break] VERSE 2 Some gave their lives for the Gospel, Some served the poor with loving hearts. Some were martyrs, strong in faith, Some lived in silence, prayer and sacrifice. From apostles to humble servants, From ancient times to our own day, Their lives proclaim that Christ is Lord, And holiness is possible for all. CHORUS Oh all you saints of God, pray for us, Oh Holy friends of God, pray for us. Faithful saints of God, pray for us, Guide our steps in holiness. Help us love and serve the Lord, Oh saints of God, pray for us! VERSE 3 Jesus teaches us on the mountain, “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” Blessed are the meek and merciful, Blessed are those who seek God's justice. Blessed are the pure and peacemakers, Blessed are those who suffer for Christ. The saints lived these words each day, And showed the world the way to heaven. CHORUS Oh all you saints of God, pray for us, Oh Holy friends of God, pray for us. Faithful saints of God, pray for us, Guide our steps in holiness. Help us love and serve the Lord, Oh saints of God, pray for us! VERSE 4 We too are called to be God's children, Not only those whose names we know. In our homes, our schools and churches, We can become holy through love. Let us forgive and care for others, Let us serve with humble hearts. With faith, prayer and perseverance, May we one day join the saints in heaven. CHORUS Oh all you saints of God, pray for us, Oh Holy friends of God, pray for us. Faithful saints of God, pray for us, Guide our steps in holiness. Help us love and serve the Lord, Oh saints of God, pray for us! [Instrumental Break] CHORUS Oh all you saints of God, pray for us, Oh Holy friends of God, pray for us. Faithful saints of God, pray for us, Guide our steps in holiness. Help us love and serve the Lord, Oh saints of God, pray for us! [Instrumental Outro]
