Kenia Puertas from Elite Athlete to Entrepreneur | My Journey 🇻🇪🇺🇸

My story is one of discipline, perseverance, transformation, and believing that every new chapter brings a new opportunity. My journey began in Venezuela as a high-performance competitive swimmer. I had the honor of becoming a National Champion, setting national, South American and Central American records, and representing Venezuela as a member of the National Swimming Team for 10 years. Swimming taught me lessons that would stay with me for life: discipline, resilience, consistency, and the determination to keep moving forward even when the road becomes difficult. At 18 years old, I came to the United States and began building a new life. The dreams changed, but the competitive spirit never did. Over the years, I transformed the discipline I learned as an athlete into my professional career, establishing myself in the South Florida real estate and property management industry. Today, I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Property Manager, entrepreneur, wife, and mother, and the proud founder of Fortuna Management and Fortuna Realty Solutions & Property Management. My experience has taught me that success isn’t defined by where you begin. It’s built through the courage to reinvent yourself, the discipline to keep going, and the determination to turn challenges into opportunities. From the swimming pools of Venezuela to building my businesses in the United States, I am still the same competitor at heart—only the arena has changed.
