Ben van Dijk - bass trombone excerpt "La Gazza Ladra - Rossini"

Today I have been working on the famous bass trombone excerpt from the Overture "La Gazza Ladra" by Gioacchino Rossini. During my todays study, I had to think of my late father many times. We worked on this a lot when I was a student, still living with my parents and he gave me some hints about slide positions I still use until today. For example in the second part, during the long run and you have to go up twice to the high E, my dad suggested to take it in a high 5th position and it works! This is the 3rd excerpt, after "the Creation" and "Ein Heldenleben", I put on YouTube. I'm planning to do a lot more. I hope you will enjoy this. Like always I say, this is just my interpretation, there are different approaches and that is just great. Let's imagine we all play the same, boring I would say!
