Moonlight in the Ruined Abbey Cloister | Calm Medieval Fantasy Music for Reading & Sleep

The bells fell silent long ago, but the old abbey still keeps its candles lit. Moonlight pours through the broken arches of the cloister, and a thin mist drifts over the overgrown garden. Torches burn low on the worn stone pillars, a single candle flickers beside an open book in the scriptorium, and the still water of the old fountain holds the moon. Somewhere along the far arcade, a lantern moves slowly through the night. Rest here a while. The night is long and quiet. 3 hours of calm, slightly melancholic medieval fantasy music — soft flute, lute and harp over gentle drones, with crackling torches, night wind through the stone arches and the faint sound of fountain water. Made for: • Focus and deep work • Studying and reading • Unwinding after a long day • Falling asleep If this music kept you company, consider subscribing — new journeys through the old kingdom arrive every day.
