An individual in a strange land reflects on their metamorphosis through a poem. Inspired by Annihilation and the Southern Reach book series by Jeff VanderMeer. Full behind-the-scenes video:    • Practical VFX & Experimental Film Techniqu...   Everything was shot and edited by me :) (the only exception is the dragonfly shot which was stock footage that I added motion extraction effects to) No AI was used in the making of this film – I had such a fun time exploring different visual techniques! Mixed media paper animation, macro shots, cosmos practical effects, motion extraction, crochet stop-motion, Lomokino 35mm motion picture experiments and more!
