Traveling from Nakhon Phanom to Chiang Rai by long-distance bus, enjoying the scenery along the way, experiencing life on the road, and taking you along for the journey. But the adventure doesn't end in Chiang Rai. The next destination is Huay Xai, Bokeo Province, Laos, where I'll cross the Mekong River and begin a slow boat journey downstream along the Mekong, passing through Pak Beng on the way to Luang Prabang. This is the beginning of Laos Travel — a simple, authentic travel diary filled with real experiences, beautiful scenery, stories from the road, and glimpses of local life along the way.
