Caution! Used Skid Steer Purchasing.

Watch how what you think may look like a great buy of a complete, top notch used skid steer becomes an immediate problematic costly learning experience. Used equipment dealer website appeared very professional and informative. Spoke with owner a few times where he always sounded like he was not interested in making a sale. The two times I appeared at the dealership the owner was not present even on the day I went to pick up the machine. Dealt with dealership mechanic both times. From what I saw and quickly tested I asked for minor requests before agreeing and purchasing the machine. Wanted a full maintenance performed before picking up...was agreed to and done. The battery hold down bracket was missing, didn't want battery to be flopping all around the engine bay when in use...was installed. Asked for key to door...was given. Thought I covered it all and was coming home with a no hassle used skid steer. This video explains that there is so much that needs to be checked and how being meticulous in testing and inspection can save you money.
