Hello dear readers and subscribers, Apologies for the somewhat unorthodox introduction with my handheld camera. I’m fighting a lot of deadlines these weeks, so I have to choose my battles wisely. And creating this tutorial was a wise one! More and more artists feel they need to combine both: the credibility of gallery representation and the independence of self-representation.
That’s exactly what this Squarespace template is designed for: an artist website that combines maximum credibility in the high-end contemporary art world with real business results, growing an email list of potential collectors and business partners, and generating direct sales online.
Of course, building the website is only part of it. Driving the right traffic to it is the other. You’ll find plenty of advice on that on CAI too: https://www.contemporaryartissue.com
P.S. Yes, I know. It’s “collector,” not “collecter.” I have no idea how it got in there, and even less how it stayed there. Spelling, apparently, was one of the battles I lost. Deeply embarrassed. The “e” has been asked to explain itself. It declined to comment.
