Welcome to Episode 1 of the Bank Side Journals Syndicate Series! It’s time to get back on the bank for a two-night carp angling session at the syndicate lake. In this first episode, we’re taking you along for an angler’s POV as we explore the lake, take a look around the different areas and settle in for 48 hours of fishing. It’s been a frustrating few months on the bank. I haven’t caught from this lake since July, followed by two months away from fishing and then a whole month of blanking! But that’s carp fishing… you can put the time in, get the rigs sorted, find your spots and do everything right, but ultimately you’re waiting for that one opportunity. With the rods out, the alarms set and everything in position, it’s all about patience, observation and that anticipation every carp angler knows so well. Will the hard work finally pay off? Could there be a carp waiting to grace the net? Or will it be another couple of nights watching the water and waiting for an alarm?
