Glitch / Ambient Music : Eptel Oru from the Ep :"Strangeness of everyday life" Strangeness can be a remedy against routine; the street we usually walk down can one day become strange under the unusual light of a particular ray of sunlight, an unusual sky, or clouds with particularly fantastical shapes, and this can lead us to think differently. I tried to translate this musically; what's most interesting is when a space opens up between the composer's intentions and the final result. This EP also took shape thanks to the discovery of new music and new labels in the excellent catalog of the Japanese record store, Tobira Records. I especially thank Clear Scape, aka Dmitry Shkarupin, and the Sumbur label, who were partly a source of inspiration. The four tracks of "Strangeness of Everyday Life" lean more towards a glitchy, granular, and textured style, and I paid particular attention to the movement and vibration of the sounds. The whole thing is a mix of plugins (granular, stutter, tape desk emulation, etc.), field recordings made with a Zoom H1 outdoors, and an AKG C1000S indoors.
