Hydro Fool - Amstrad CPC - Isometric Adventure game by FTL

Continuing with some more excellent arcade adventures for the Amstrad CPC I've chosen to point my joystick at Hydro Fool by FTL. I remember seeing this and it's prequel 'Sweevo's World' in Amtix magazine in the 80's, both looked good. I've now played both and this is my fave of the two so far. It's a familiar game format for the CPC, but has some originality, least of all by the way your character swims around, using bubbles (as in the previous game) to lift him up to other levels of the map. Fortunately, unlike a lot of Alien 8 clones of the time, they've opted for conventional directional controls. Many of these games slow down awfully on the CPC when the screen gets busy, but Hydro Fool isn't one of them, and the graphics and animation are both charming and fluid. Definitely one of the better of such games on the CPC.
