I wanted to see if I could figure out this easy pumpkin pattern for October. It’s a super quick project, highly addictive to make, and perfect for fall gifts! MATERIALS USED • Yarn: orange and green for stem (or brown) • Hook Size: 5 mm, H/8 • Extras: scissors, stuffing, and a yarn needle THE PUMPKIN APPLIQUÉ PATTERN This is a super simple, amateur-friendly pattern. ABBREVIATIONS: • MR = Magic Ring • ch = chain • sl st = slip stitch • HDC = half double crochet • DC = double crochet -- THE PUMPKIN BODY -- [Note: Repeat this exact process to make two flat appliqués, then stack them, stitch them together and add stuffing or yarn scraps.] ROUND 1: In MR, ch 2. Work 10 DC into the ring. Sl st to the top of the first DC to join (10 sts). ROUND 2: ch 2. Work 2 DC in each stitch around. Sl st to join (20 sts). ROUND 3: ch 1.
