In vivo CAR-T is a major departure from traditional ex vivo CAR-T. Instead of extracting T cells from a patient, engineering the cells in a lab and reinfusing the modified cells back into the patient, in vivo CAR-T intends to genetically modify T cells inside the patient's body.
