MUNICH Oct 2026- Bavaria Unforgettable! Oktoberfest, Fairytale Castles & The Eagle's Nest

"We came for the castles, the history, and Oktoberfest. We got all that, plus a rainy mountain, a disappearing view, and enough laughs and beer to make it a trip worth remembering." Three days in Bavaria, four good friends, plenty of laughs, a few beers, and memories we'll be talking about for years! From the energy and traditions of Oktoberfest to the fairy-tale beauty of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles, Bavaria gave us one incredible experience after another. Our visit to the Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) came with a little different weather. Warm temperatures, rain, and clouds that decided we weren't going to see much of the famous view. But even without the spectacular panorama, standing in such a remarkable and historically significant place was an experience we'll never forget. We feel especially privileged to have visited just two weeks before the devastating arson incident that would affect the site. Sometimes the timing of travel is something you don't fully appreciate until later. It was three days filled with new sights, beautiful places, good beer, great friends, and plenty of laughter. Please excuse some of my video as we did several bus tours. Photos and videos with reflection are a pet peeve of mine, but it was unavoidable. Additionally, the new Apple update for the camera was garbage and there were green spots jumping all around. The update came too late.
