1978 Lufthansa Heist: Jimmy Burke's Deadly Cleanup | Daring Capers | S1 E4

An idle clerk’s sketch becomes the biggest cash heist in U.S. history. But the score that promised easy money triggers a deadly chain of silence. Step inside the 1978 Lufthansa robbery at JFK: the inside man Louis Werner, the volatile mob enforcer Jimmy Burke, and the Roberts Lounge crew who moved with chilling precision. Watch how a forgotten plan resurfaces through a bookie’s threat, why a single van that wasn’t crushed unraveled everything, and how unmarked cash and loose lips turned fortune into fear. The FBI quickly smelled an inside job, but witnesses disappeared, bodies dropped, and one mistake in a parking lot became pivotal. We trace the pressure, the paranoia, and the so-called curse of money that no one lived to enjoy. If you think you know the Lufthansa heist, you haven’t seen the decisions that sealed everyone’s fate. Hit play to see how the biggest score became the mob’s most costly secret. #LufthansaHeist #DaringCapers #TrueCrime #OrganizedCrime #JimmyBurke #JFKAirport #1978 #Heist
