July is HOT in Egypt! The advantage is that there are fewer tourists around as this is the low season. Our cruise ship, Sonesta Moon Goddess, could take around 150 but there were only about 70 guests on board. Yes, there were some 42 degree days, but we survived unscathed (apart from Maddy's bare feet on the green artificial grass when she paid an afternoon visit to the on-board swimming pool!) A trip down the Nile (even if it is on a floating hotel), with one's own private guide (& certified archeologist) is a must-do way to see the antiquities of Egypt. A step back in time.
