Cotton Fields – Lead Belly Blues Cover | Raw Southern Blues & Americana

“Cotton Fields” is a traditional-feeling Southern blues song written and first recorded by Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter in 1940. The song looks back on childhood memories connected to the cotton fields of Louisiana and Arkansas, combining nostalgia with the hard realities of agricultural labor and making very little money. Lead Belly's recording became part of the American folk-blues tradition, and the song was later recorded by numerous artists. 🎵 Song: Cotton Fields ✍️ Written by: Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter 🎙️ Type: Blues Cover 🎸 Style: Traditional Country Blues / Southern Americana #CottonFields #LeadBelly #BluesCover #CountryBlues #AmericanRootsMusic #SouthernBlues #Americana #VintageBlues 🎹 Delta Blues 🎹 Barrelhouse Piano 🎹 Boogie Woogie Piano 🎹 Juke Joint Blues 🎹 Traditional Blues 🎹 Vintage Blues 🎹 Blues Instrumentals 🎹 Classic American Roots Music
