Gran Turismo 3 - License B-8 (42.246)

Next up is the final B license test, B-8. Considered to be overall one of the game's hardest license tests. Which is surprising considering it's only the last test for the first license, but it make sense. Driving a Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R, you must quickly & carefully navigate the first part of Trial Mountain Raceway. You start just before the first tunnel and finish coming out of the tunnel on the back straightaway going up the hill. This section of track features a lot of jagged rocks for walls that can severely mess you up, so avoid them at all costs. But when you have to go fast as well to beat the gold target time, this becomes challenging. Especially considering the gold target time isn't easy to reach. 43 seconds on the NTSC version and even worse on the PAL version at 42.8 seconds. There's not much room for error here. The most important turn you need to get right is the last one before the long back straightaway. You need to turn in real early & use all of the track, including the yellow striped area, while being careful not to pound the wall coming out into the tunnel for a perfect exit to get that gold time.
