CHICKEN SALNA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:-
For Salna
Chicken ------------------------------------------- 500 g
Water ----------------------------------------------- 1½ Cup
Cinnamon ---------------------------------------- 2 Small Piece
Cloves ---------------------------------------------- 4 No's
Cardamom---------------------------------------- 2 No's
Bay leaf--------------------------------------------- 1 No
Onion------------------------------------------------- 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste---------------------------- 2 tsp
Green chilies ------------------------------------- 3 No
Mint leaves ---------------------------------------- 2tsp
Curry leaves -------------------------------------- 1 spring
Tomato Paste------------------------------------ 3 medium size tomato
Turmeric--------------------------------------------- ½ tsp
Red Chilli Powder ------------------------------- 1 tbsp
Coriander powder------------------------------- 2 tsp
Chicken Masala---------------------------------- 1tsp
Garam masala ----------------------------------- ½ tsp
Pepper Powder----------------------------------- 1 tsp
Oil ------------------------------------------------------- 3 tbsp
Salt ----------------------------------------------------- As required
Coconut Paste
For Coconut Paste
Fresh Grated Coconut------------------------- ½ Cup
Poppy seeds--------------------------------------- 1 tsp (soaked)
Cashew nut –-------------------------------------- 6-8 No’s
Fennel ------------------------------------------------- ¾ tsp
Water -------------------------------------------------- ½ Cup
Take a pan and add 3 tbsp oil .then add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf. Then add finely chopped onion. Sauté it until it turns little brown then add ginger garlic paste, green chilies, mint, and curry leaf to this, sauté this for a minute.
Now add tomato paste. Mix well sauté it for a minute, and then add some water.
When the tomato is cooked and oil starts splitting add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, and salt. Sauté until the raw smell goes off add some water and allow it to cook for some time.
Add chicken to this, mix well with this, and cook for few minutes, when the chicken starts leaving water add Garam masala and pepper powder to this.
When chicken is half cooked, add coconut paste with this. Mix well. Allow it to cook for few minutes without adding water, then add the required amount of boiling water or chicken stock. Cook for another 15 minutes by closing the lid. Stir occasionally in between
Finally, add some coriander leaf, mix once and switch off the flame.
