The handcrafting continues.
Watch as Ned Bowman solders the first and largest setting into the Sterling Silver Blade Cuff Bracelet.
Using a traditional jeweler’s torch, the metal is carefully brought to temperature until the solder flows completely around the setting, creating a continuous seam where the setting joins the bracelet. No gaps are permitted.
Controlling the heat and solder flow takes a practiced hand. Too little heat and the solder will not flow properly; too much can compromise the work. It is a slow, methodical process guided by the craftsman’s hands, eye, and years of experience.
Another step in transforming Sterling Silver into a finished piece of wearable art.
By Hands Only. No CAD/CAM. No computers.
Handcrafted at a traditional jeweler’s bench in the Bowman Originals workshop in Sarasota, Florida, USA.
