Day 3 of the Katelyn Goble trial, complete and uninterrupted: every minute of testimony with the recesses removed and nothing else touched.
This is the trial of Katelyn Goble, charged in Georgia in connection with the disappearance and death of Morgan Bauer. Morgan was reported missing in March 2016, and the two people last known to have been with her, Goble and her boyfriend Alexander "Alex" Warren, are both now charged. Warren has pleaded guilty.
This is the day the jury hears the tapes. The private investigator finishes her testimony and survives cross-examination. Then Detective Scott Hulse takes the stand, and the trial moves into the interview room: Goble's own police interviews — July 11th, August 2nd, August 3rd of 2023 — with the detective explaining how her account stayed the same through two sittings and changed only when she was confronted with the inconsistencies. Then the recordings play, in her own voice: the burn pit, Morgan's locked phone, hair pulled from the bathroom drain, Morgan's ID kept in a box "a couple days after the bonfire," and three days she cannot account for. The final tape is clocked at 2 hours, 4 minutes, 36 seconds — and when it ends, the day is over.
Short bursts of music inside the played recordings are muted; no spoken word is removed.

0:00:00 - The private investigator resumes: the last of the recorded conversations, then cross-examination.
1:44:14 - Detective Scott Hulse sworn: the three police interviews, and the confrontation that changed the story.
3:04:13 - Post-lunch: the recorded interview plays on — the house, the driveway, the burn pit, the locked phone.
4:41:24 - The final stretch in her own voice: the drain, the box, the three unaccounted days, and adjournment.
