Magedleni, Matshetsheni and Stainmore

The road that leads West-North out of Gwanda town, the Bulawayo Beitbridge highway had fairly low traffic. It is usually busy with traffic that will be passing through Gwanda town, on its way to and from Beitbridge border post. The Dirt roads were polite to the vehicle’s suspension. Some of these gravel roads might not be smooth giving the vehicle’s suspension system a pretty stressful time. Often one would have to pick the smoothest line and anticipate badly corrugated sections by the changes in the road. The Magedleni, and Matshetsheni route had evidence of the trek receiving regular maintenance. The final destination is Stanmore which is 35 km on the Gwanda to Bulawayo highway. This is a siding railway station and bus stop. I consider Stanmore to be a nice stopover for a treat of roasted to perfection beef and nice cold beer.
