Stihl 193T Modified

This Stihl 193T was my first climbing saw. I had lots of problems with it at start up. It wouldn't stay running, would stall out when you gave it throttle, would idle at high rpm when the saw was hot or when you pointed it nose down, and generally had a lack of power. We tried tuning every which way and couldn't get it to run consistently So, I removed the limiters, and did a muffler mod, timing advance, and started running 93 non-E. While the gas and muffler mod helped it a bit, the timing advance pretty much solved the problems. I ran the .043 micro mini semi-chisel chain (PMM3) for a long time, but have recently put on the .050 micro full-chisel (PS3) and now have a saw that does really well.
