Climbing in City of Rocks: The Extraordinarily Normal

It's been over a year since I was climbing in City of Rocks, Idaho. A lot has changed in that time--except for the importance that I place on adventure. I'm about three weeks away from the biggest adventure of my life which lies at the crossroads of the "extraordinary and the everyday". Three of my friends that you'll meet in this video explain the extraordinarily normal better than I can--and why it matters. I've learned a long time ago that my being healthy is directly related to the amount of time I spend outside. Physically. Mentally. It's actually pretty simple. Things that we view as being too hard or too incredible can become normal if we are willing to risk discomfort and a little failure. Living with an invisible chronic illness is actually pretty extraordinary--just like climbing. However mastery occurs through making that intimidating obstacle a daily practice.
