Black Screen White Noise | 10 Hours, No Fade

Black screen white noise - ten hours of it, with no fade-out, so it's still playing at 5am instead of dropping you into silence. The screen stays dark the whole way through. Nothing lights the room at 3am, and a phone left playing overnight uses far less battery than it would on a bright picture. ── About this video ── This is a one-off. The noise was synthesised at full length - all ten hours - rather than a short loop repeated a few hundred times, so nothing in it ever comes back around. The specifics for this one: · Measured at -0.2 dB per octave - flat, which is what makes it white rather than brown or pink: every octave carries the same energy · Rolled off above 5.1 kHz, taking the hardest edge off the hiss without turning it into pink noise · Everything below 35 Hz removed - no rumble on phone speakers, no wasted energy you can't hear · A 180-second swell, so the bed slowly opens and closes rather than sitting perfectly still · Wide stereo, mastered to -21.0 LUFS - quiet enough to fall asleep to, level enough to cover a room · No fade at either end · Encoded in 10-bit, which gives the dark gradient four times the tonal steps of a standard upload - the difference between a smooth dark screen and a banded one Seed 593. Every DimField upload is a different render with different numbers - no two are the same. New soundscapes every week. #blackscreen #whitenoise #sleepsounds
