Eternal Descent Judas in the Mirror. Where "Requiem for the Faithless" watched a preacher lose his faith, this album follows someone who never lost it, and shows what it costs to keep carrying belief through grief, guilt, and mortality. The tone leans more toward Orchid's warm occult psychedelia and Cathedral's groove, with the bass again used as a lead voice, Moog textures acting like stained glass light moving across the songs, and organic heavy drums that swing more than they crush. Where album one ends in acceptance of silence, album two ends in the exhausted, aching decision to keep believing anyway.
