True repentance goes beyond mere regret or a one-time event; it requires a 180-degree turn away from sin and a lifestyle that bears fruit in keeping with God's grace. KEY POINTS • Repentance is simply turning around and going the opposite direction from the path of sin. • No one is above the need for repentance, even those who consider themselves righteous or long-time church members. • When we genuinely repent and change our ways, God's character is to relent and extend His boundless grace.
