OKACOM Gender, Equity & Social Inclusion Mainstreaming Training

The Permanent Okavango River Basin Water Commission (OKACOM) Gender Mainstreaming Strategy provides a framework to advance the commitment to ensuring equitable and sustainable development and growth on matters relating to the conservation, development and utilisation of water resources in the Cubango-Okavango River Basin. OKACOM through the support of USAID Resilient Waters Programme and Climate Resilient Infrastructure Development Facility (CRIDF) held a two-day workshop with OKASEC staff to discuss the theoretical aspects of Gender, Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI), practical exercises in designing projects for undertaking gender analyses and mainstreaming into ongoing activities.
