Hearing Test - Newborn Diagnostic Testing

Some babies are referred for additional testing following their infant hearing screening. Newborn diagnostic testing is a more detailed look at a baby's hearing. This is known as an Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) test. Here is an example of one such test, called Air Conduction Test, which tests the response to sound that travels through the ear canal, middle ear and along the hearing nerve.
