ROUTE & TIPS - Saturday 19 September 2026 (as seen / said on camera) Drass → Kargil War Memorial (NH1 towards Kargil, about 6-7 km) → back to Drass → the stream below Drass → the road to Mushkoh Valley. Drass in September: -3°C at night, it warms up once the sun is out (8 AM). The memorial has its own parking - keep the parking slip somewhere you'll find it again. An army guide takes visitors round: Tololing and Tiger Hill from the viewpoint, the guns, the tank, the eternal flame, the Wall of Fame. Take your time there. From the NH1 east of Drass you can see Tiger Hill (the big pointed peak) and Rhino Horn (the thin spike beside it). The road to Mushkoh: the last stretch is dirt and gravel, under construction, very dusty - keep your bag covered.
