Hello friends! Long time no see! 💐😘
In this issue, I will showcase the production process of Linglong porcelain. Linglong porcelain is one of the four famous ceramics in Jingdezhen. Its main features are unique and exquisite eyes, transparent and impermeable.
The main production steps of Linglong porcelain are as follows:
1. Select high-quality raw materials such as kaolin and porcelain stone, and go through a series of extremely complex steps to make delicate clay for making cup blanks. This part of the steps is extremely complex and lengthy, so I used a simple presentation method to showcase it in the video. The real steps are very difficult.
2. Pull the blank. This part should be considered the simplest. When I was studying, I saw many children doing it. It's on the casting machine, slowly squeezing the mud into the shape of a cup with your hands.
3. Repair the blank. When the cup is almost dry, you can continue to make the cup shape better.
4. Su Shao. Put the repaired cup blank into the kiln and let it sit for a day, at a temperature of a few hundred degrees Celsius. After baking, it needs to be cooled for at least a day and a night before it can be taken out.
5. Linglong eyes. Draw the Linglong Eye on a plain burnt cup and carve it out, which is the small hollow hole on the cup. Complex Linglong eyes are difficult to carve, and they usually break apart as soon as they are carved. So I actually assisted the machine in completing this step.
6. Glazing. There are two types of Linglong glaze, one is the inner glaze applied to the holes, and the other is the surface glaze sprayed on the cup blank. The steps and methods of Linglong glaze are basically the same as those of clay. So I didn't repeat the presentation. Fill the inner glaze into the exquisite hole with a brush, and blow the surface glaze onto the surface of the cup with a spray bottle.
7. Burning firewood. A cup coated with exquisite glaze should be placed in a 1300 degree Celsius wood kiln and burned for a day. The firewood kiln uses pine wood. After burning for a day, it takes two days and two nights for the porcelain cups to cool down before they can be taken out.
8. Painting. On the burned Linglong porcelain cup, mix our best mineral pigment with frankincense oil, grind it evenly, and then use a brush to draw on the Linglong porcelain cup. The pattern on the Linglong porcelain cup this time, I wanted to present the feeling of the Twelve Flower Gods, so I chose the spring peony, summer lotus, autumn osmanthus, and winter plum blossoms. The representative flowers of all seasons.
9. After painting, it actually needs to be fired twice more, at a low temperature of several hundred degrees Celsius, to give the painting a sense of hierarchy and permanently fix it on the porcelain.
Because the steps are repetitive and lengthy, I only use text explanations and do not present repetitive images. This video took a long time to shoot, with over 700 gigabytes of footage, but I made a lot of cuts. Because I'm afraid the process will be too tedious and boring.
The process of making porcelain is far from as simple as shown in the video, and the actual production steps are much more complex. I can only say that it is presented in an artistic way.
During this period, I experienced severe allergies, my hands swollen into sticks, and there were many blisters on my hands, which were particularly itchy and uncomfortable. This experience is truly unforgettable for a lifetime.
I am well aware that I am not doing well enough, but I am also doing my best. I look forward to your physical and mental healing and enjoyment while watching my video. Wishing you happiness and joy^_^🌸🍡🍬🍒🍎🍓🌻🦋🧚♀️🌏🥗
